Weird Al on Wait, Wait!
So in October, I wrote to the NPR radio show Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me and suggested that they book "Weird Al" Yankovic on the show, and included info on contacting Jay Levey, his manager. Show producer Emily Ecton wrote me back and said, "Great suggestion! I've passed it along to our booker. Thanks for listening!" And so this weekend, "Weird Al" Yankovic is the celebrity guest on Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me! You can already listen to it online; scroll down to Not My Job: Weird Al Yankovic. Despite my note, host Peter Sagal says that booking him was inspired by Wynton Marsalis's guest appearance a few weeks ago, dissing the accordion (you have to listen to get it), but whatever! Kinda funny guest spot :>!
