How well does your name Google? Who are you up against? (Celebrities, etc.)
Submitted by Matt Blank.
(I've known about a woman with my name since I was a kid! We went to the same school when we were younger, and she now lives a couple suburbs over--or at least, that's what the gas company told me when they called me, looking for her to pay her delinquent bill!)
Anyway, out there in Googleland, I compete with a 1960s horror film & sitcom TV actress as well a current Broadway stage actress/singer--who has a MySpace! There's a pottery artist and a gardener. There's someone who has both my name and my job in the UK. But by far, my favorite is one of those free Internet "arousing" stories that starts off with a character with my name and then goes on to describe said character as being sexually reckless and insatiable.
What was your worst cooking experience?
Oh, so torn! I made a chocolate cake for my Mom when I was a kid for her birthday or Mother's Day which was very much in an earthquake that no one else experienced. There's actually a photo floating around of this tilted, leaning, multi-level two-layer masterpiece--which I'm sure my Mom will have right there to pop out at any guy I become serious about!
There was the cooking sheet I was taking out of the oven of something--french fries, I think--which was not a cooking disaster, per se, but a sudden distraction resulted in my arm touching the top of the very hot oven and further resulted in an interesting permanent scar.
And then there was our first microwave which sadly did not have an automatically rotating tray. It was easily the hottest night of the year so no one would let me turn on the broiler to cook the steak for dinner. "Use the microwave!" they cried. And so I did. And I didn't even know about the needing to rotate thing to make it cook evenly. And so we ended up with a steak that was burned on one end and still kinda raw on the other. Yugh!
And then when I turned 16...
What is your favorite ring tone?
Submitted by rach.
Ha! I laughed at this guy on the elevator when his 1960s Spiderman TV show theme song ringtone went off... until my 1960s Batman TV show theme song ringtone started goin'...! It was cool, though! Won't even work on my current phone. Darn technologies!!!
What's your favorite heartbreak song?
Submitted by esta86.
Probably my "favorite"--or at least, the most heartfelt--would be "I Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt.
It's included in my (in)famous iTunes iMix, Tunes of Heartbreak and Revenge.
What's your favorite kind of Girl Scout cookie?
Submitted by My Lovely One.
My really, truly favorite kind of Girl Scout cookie no longer exists, apparently. The ORIGINAL recipe for the Girl Scout Trefoils was a cookie that was thinner than the version that's sold now, and had large sugar crystals on the top--as described on the RoadFood.com forum. It turns out that this version of the Trefoils was made by a company called Burry's, which went out of business :<.
The Girl Scout Thin Mints always ran a close second and is my favorite kind, by default. But as noted on the forum, Burry's made the original version of these, as well. The ones out now don't taste the same, but they're closer than those impersonator thick and cardboard-tasting Trefoils!
Do you remember your first flight? Where did you go? Why?
Submitted by Laurel.
I remember flights to my grandmother's place in the South. One time my brother and I flew "alone" and we got these pins that said V.I.P. on them. I still have mine somewhere... 'cause I'm still V.I.P., haha!!!
You've been through the desert on a horse with no name. Except your horse does have a name. What is it?

Are there any snacks, food or candy that are no longer made that you desperately miss?
YES! There's a breakfast cereal out there that I miss tremendously - that I finally got the name of (I could only remember Winnie the Pooh being on the box!) when I got to this web site:
Imaginary World - Cereal Boxes Archive
And even though I can specially order from Quaker Oats directly boxes of two of my other favorite cereals, Crunchy Corn Bran and Quisp, it's not quite the same as seeing either in the store, now is it?!?
