I had posted this elsewhere, but it works here, too :>!
FYI: There is a Grassroots Barack Obama HQ in Second Life on Blacktail Ridge Island (24, 135, 148). You can see my avatar visiting the Obama HQ over on my Flickr account. You can pick up a free flag and free t-shirts and hats for your avatar, plus watch video of Obama and learn more about his various positions. Enjoy!
Anyone else active in Second Life? I've been hanging out and snapping photos, which I've put on Flickr, at:

Enjoy :>!
UPDATE: Just to explain what Second Life is, as I explained in an e-mail to some friends last week...
Maybe you've heard of the virtual world, Second Life, by now. If you haven't, see the information and news stories below!
Anyway, it's a completely virtual world online, where you can create an "avatar" person of yourself, and your avatar can walk around--or fly!--on all the various islands within the virtual world, where you get to... you can... you have a... did I mention the walking around and flying??
OK, the point of Second Life is still being decided! It's like "The Sims" game, but without even the "goals" of eating and sleeping. Joining is free, but if you want to have "land" to build a house on, that's when the real money comes into play! Second Life runs on its own currency, called Linden Dollars (Linden Labs created Second life), and there is a running exchange rate! You can build not just homes but also businesses in Second Life, buying and selling Linden Dollars.
(And of course you wouldn't expect people to play to the baser natures and have just casinos and strip joints and dance clubs with "Topless Tuesdays" and virtual lap dances in a virtual world. Because I'll have you know that there are art galleries, museums, book clubs, libraries... along with the casinos and the strip joints and the dance clubs with "Topless Tuesdays" and virtual lap dances--! Tell 'em Val sent you ;>!)
I had created an avatar late last year, Valsadie Springvale (you choose your own first name and then have to choose from a long list of last names that are already established in Second Life).
This morning I went to the Star Trek Museum of Science that is within Second Life, and I know that some of you will get a big kick out of that :>!
